Can complete beginners try scuba diving in Marmaris?

Absolutely. The "Discover Scuba Diving" experience requires no certification and is supervised throughout. You spend 30 minutes in a pool mastering basic skills, then do one shallow guided dive to around 6–8 metres. Thousands of first-timers do this in Marmaris every summer.

What is the visibility like in Marmaris?

Marmaris has some of the best visibility on the Turkish Aegean coast. In summer (June–September), average visibility ranges from 15–30 metres at most sites. October and November can be slightly lower due to plankton blooms, but are still excellent.

Are there sea turtles diving in Marmaris?

Yes — loggerhead sea turtles (Caretta caretta) are regularly spotted at Marmaris Bay Reef and Cleopatra Island. They are wild and not guaranteed on every dive, but sightings are common enough to be a genuine highlight for many divers.
